DC Blocks
DC Blocks are compact coaxial components that prevent the flow of DC current and audio signals while channeling RF/microwave signals with minimal loss. They are totally passive devices and do not require a power source. Designed with inside conductors, outside conductors, or combination inside/outside conductors with capacitance in series to block DC and audio signals,
ARRA’s DC blocks achieve low insertion loss (maximum of 0.5 dB) and VSWR (maximum of 1.35:1) from 0.1 to 18.0 GHz. Matched to 50 Ω for ease of integration into high-frequency systems, they are available with male or female N or SMA connectors and are rated for maximum voltages to 200 V. Compact SMA models are only 1.2 in. in length while N models are 1.92 in. or less in length. Suitable for addressing problems with undesired audio and DC, these DC blocks are ideal for modulation signal leakage suppression, ground-loop elimination, and improving system signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) performance.
